12:51 AM ● ENCOUNTER AT SHAW CCK CINEMA!! WHAT LOUSY SERVICE!!

i had a very unpleasant encounter at SHAW cck cinema! just today!!

what kind of service they are providing? i mean SERIOUSLY!!

the whole incident is like this:  Chinhui, Annie, Long sze and Myself was rushing over to buy the tickets for "Ong bak2" at the ticketing booth nearest to the elevator. From a chinese Staff.

we thought that they still sold student tickets, but unlucky it ended after 6pm. So each of us paid $9.50 each. and rushes over to cinema2. Passed the tickets to a indian staff, was ready to enter, but he stopped us. And said, "IC! IC!" in a very rude tone.

I was confused and asked him what was going on. But he didnt reply. Fustrated, i asked again and explained to him that we were rushing for time. The movie starts at 7.20pm but it was already 7.35 to 7.40plus. Then he continued, "IC! IC!" As dought it was the only sentence he know how to say. Then i was so angry and wasnt ready to miss the ong bak 2 movie that we paid for $9.50!!! I told him off, "What IC? We bought the tickets for $9.50, not student tickets and We are rushing for time, the movie is starting!!" he FINALLY answered, and said " IC!!" and pointed his finger at the tickets which stated NC16. =_=" we were like.."OMG" and showed him our IC, except for long sze, as she didnt brought hers out. Then he said "i know you guys over 16, i just wanna see her IC!" What? Is he trying to say that we look older and long sze was young? That was a complete INSULT!! and he was UTTERLY RUDE!! and i was so fustrated and went to the exact same booth, and demand a refund as he wouldnt let us in.

i was piss and told the lady in the counter for a refund! she politely asked me why and i explained to her that one of her staff was like so damn to speak till finally he explained that we needed to provide a IC. and i told her, why didnt she infor us b4 hand when we bought the tickets? Atleast she had the basic manners to apologies. i asked for the management or office no. then she asked if i wanted to speak to the manager. i replied angrily, OFCOURSE, i demand to speak to your manager incharge. she then replied she/he wasnt in. the person was out for lunch(dinner). AGAIN? it was the same, when my parents wanted to complain as well. ARGWHH~!!

What kind of service are they providing?

Dont give me crap that, coz we look young!! Customer service is for all ages. I know!!Coz i worked as a Guest Relation and customer service b4!

so Cut the crap!! what service are they reflecting to their organisation?

Hey is the "SHORT" feedback/comment/COMPLAINT! i have for them:

This particular incident just spoiled my day.
This unpleasant encounter just happened today at CCK shaw cinema.
i was rushing with my friends' over to watch "ong bak 2" which was showing at 7.20pm, but it was already 7.35pm. we bought the ticket from the ticket boot nearest to the elevator from a chinese lady and rush our way over. But a indian staff just rudely say, "IC! IC!" and continued "IC! where's your IC", i was confused and asked him, what was going on.And told him we were in a rush to a movie which already started. And he didnt explain but continued to point to one of my friends' and said "IC!" i told him we were in a rush and asked him again what was going on, at first i thought he wanted to see our ezlink as we were student, but then we were paying $9.50 per ticket so that couldnt be and asked him again.then finally he answered by pointing his finger at the tickets and said NC16! i was like "ok, and showed him mine, but he refused to let us in and demand a look on my friend's IC which she didnt brought hers out, and it just happen that she just started school in ITE and they didnt provide her one yet till 2 weeks later or so.Is this what you call a good customer service?
yes, he was doing his job, but is this the way to speak to a customer? no matter what age my friend is, is this the kind of attitude and hand language he is supposed to give? I am not very happy with such a service.
i went back to the booth and demand a refund, the chinese lady asked me why? i explained to her that this staff of theirs refuse to let my friend in. and obviously i wasnt happy about it, and i wanted to speak to the manager incharge but he/she was out for lunch. Just like the other time, my parents' wanted to speak to the manager but coincidence, she/he was out for lunch again. i told the lady if they needed a IC to prove that we are over 16, that is fine but pls infor us earlier, as she obviously know that we were rushing for a movie. The lady was kind enough to apologise, then later the indian staff walked over and asked what was going on, then the chinese staff was explaining to him, later on they allowed us to process in to the cinema. BUT the movie was already long gone started off. And i walked out angrily. This is unacceptable and it wasnt the 1st time, he should have ask politely for our IC. This is a bad service and it doesnt reflect well on your organisation. And most importantly, he doesnt treat people with respect as a customer and he was utterly rude. I hope to hear a feedback from one of your staff.

i have plenty more to say, but im to lazy to type it all out! this should be more than enough to vent my mangier & fustration!!! Besides i have comunity service, early in the morning tomorrow, 9am!! Good Night guys! Aiyasumi Naisah!~
